Olympus Spine and Pain

Keith Warner, MD, is a triple board-certified physician specializing in general and cardiothoracic anesthesiology and interventional pain medicine. Dr. Warner helps patients overcome chronic pain and get back to living life on their own terms at Olympus Spine and Pain in Murray, Utah.

Dr. Warner is a native of Salt Lake City, Utah. He graduated from the University of Utah having studied in both the school of business and college of science. He went on to graduate with honors from Ross University School of Medicine in 2014.

He found interest in many of the subspecialty disciplines within anesthesiology. Among those, the two that stood out most were interventional pain medicine and cardiothoracic anesthesiology.

He loved the fast pace and critical thinking required in these high acuity cases. He's found that the skills he developed as a cardiac fellow have not only served him well as a cardiothoracic anesthesiologist, but also in his approach to the complexities of patients in chronic pain.

Unfortunately, it was during this time that Dr. Warner's father passed away after a hard-fought battle with cancer. The experience of watching his father's suffering caused him to revisit his thoughts of treating those in pain.

After completing his initial fellowship training, he applied for and was accepted into a second fellowship in interventional pain management at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.

Training at the largest cancer center in the world gave Dr. Warner exposure to patients both local and international and disease states both common and rare. Under the direction of some of the most well-respected physicians in pain management, Dr. Warner learned state of the art approaches to pain disorders across the spectrum.

In his words, "training at the largest cancer center in the world gave me opportunities to treat pain in every form imaginable, both in those with cancer and those without. There's truly no better feeling than to help a patient feel like they've got their life back and to regain function where it was once lost".

Dr. Warner takes an evidence-based, multifaceted approach to pain relief, employing the most advanced techniques, such as joint injections, implantable spinal cord stimulation, ketamine infusions, and intrathecal pumps to help patients address and overcome stifling pain at its source.

Many patients come to Olympus Spine and Pain for help with headaches, arthritis, back, neck, and leg pain, neuropathy, and other forms of chronic pain. Dr. Warner is well-known for effectively targeting pain where it begins. This approach leads to happy and active patients who enjoy their lives again.
