What is cancer pain?

Cancer pain refers to any pain caused by or related to cancer. When tumors grow on bone, organs, or soft tissues, it can lead to severe inflammation and pain.

Additionally, some treatments for cancer, such as chemotherapy and radiation, may cause side effects like neuropathic (nerve) pain.

When might I need cancer pain management?

Cancer pain can range from a constant, dull ache to sharp shock-like pains, with many variations in between. If pain is intruding in your daily life and your current pain relief approach isn’t adequate, cancer pain management could be the best next step.
